Montgomery Habitat for Humanity Holds Dedication Ceremony for Two New Homes in New Hope Village
Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce a special home dedication ceremony for two deserving families—the Mayo and Foxhall/Scott families—as part of the organization’s ambitious Blitz Build Initiative. This event celebrates the families’ journey from renters to homeowners and recognizes the contributions of the volunteers and partners who made it possible.

“These Habitat partner families are moving from renters to becoming new homeowners, and they are great examples of the vision of Habitat for Humanity to create a world where everyone has a safe, decent place to live,” said Susan Johnson, Executive Director of Montgomery Habitat for Humanity.
The Blitz Build Initiative, launched in December 2024, is a community-driven effort to construct multiple homes—seven in total—in New Hope Village. The initiative highlights Montgomery Habitat’s commitment to providing long-term, sustainable housing and promoting affordable homeownership.
