Montgomery, AL (May 11, 2023) – Trenholm State Community College will proudly host its Spring Commencement, on Thursday, May 11, at 2:00 p.m., at the Multiplex at Crampton Bowl located at 220 Hall St, Montgomery, AL 36104.
As a time honored tradition of academic excellence, Trenholm State Community College will celebrate the accomplishments of 163 graduates who will be awarded certificates and/or associate degrees in the divisions of Health Sciences, General Education/Transfer, and Career & Technical Education, in addition to, students in the Adult Education program who will be awarded their General Educational Diploma and/or High School Diploma. Amongst the graduates are 13 dual-enrollment students from Montgomery Public Schools, Pike Road Schools, and area private schools that will graduate with college credentials from various academic areas including medical assisting, graphic design, welding, automotive services, air conditioning and refrigeration, and automotive advanced manufacturing.
This year’s commencement speaker is Ken Austin, Executive Director of the Mercy House and Pastor of New Walk of Life Church in Montgomery. Deeply committed to restoring his community, Pastor Austin serves on the board of Valiant Cross Academy, Montgomery Mental Health Authority, House to House, Montgomery Area Homeless Coalition, King’s Canvas, Montgomery Area Foodbank, and Montgomery Bible Institute. He also serves on Mayor Reed’s Homeless Task Force, working tirelessly with the team to eradicate homelessness.
Whatever moves people and the community forward, Pastor Austin is committed to helping to make it work.
