MONTGOMERY, Ala., Tuesday, December 19, 2023 – Caddell Construction has announced the promotion of two new vice presidents. Clint MacDonald has been promoted to vice president / market leader – justice. Todd Roy has been promoted to vice president – international.

According to President Mac Caddell, the move is a logical next step in the company’s steady growth. “Our international footprint and project load in the justice market both continue to expand as we take on more and more of this type of work across the globe,” he said. With the addition of these two new vice presidents, these key markets will grow even stronger. “They will have the authority and oversight to intentionally pursue, execute and earn repeat business in our sweet spot,” Caddell said.

MacDonald earned a B.S. from Troy University and is a LEED Green Associate and LEED AP BD+C. He began his career at Caddell in 2009 as an assistant contract manager and earned promotions through many roles, including project engineer, quality control staff, project manager and manager of operations support before being assuming his most recent role of construction executive in 2019. In this role, Clint was responsible for corporate oversight on some of Caddell’s most complex and challenging jobs. Senior Vice President – Governmental Stephen Strickland said the promotion was much deserved. “Clint’s commitment to The Caddell Way of doing business is evident to all he encounters. He is a natural leader, neither pulling from the front, nor pushing from the back. He comes alongside and finds a way to bring out the best in everyone he meets,” he said. “I know our justice work is in very capable hands.”

Roy, who will remain on site at his current project in Europe, has more than 20 years of construction experience, including both governmental and private construction markets. With a degree from Auburn University’s School of Architecture, his distinguished tenure includes project management experience all over the world. Todd has managed construction contracts for Caddell’s Department of State Embassy projects in Athens, Greece, Moscow, Russia and Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. His experience also includes projects for the United States Corps of Engineers (barracks and commissaries), Navy headquarters projects, private commercial high-rise structures, banks and multi-family projects. “Todd’s wealth of experience is a huge asset for Caddell,” said Senior Vice President – International Rod Ceasar. “Having someone with his caliber of expertise and leadership skills on that side of the world will be of great benefit, not only to Caddell, but to our clients as well.”
