    Date: June 19, 2018
    Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
The Junior League of Montgomery (JLM) will hold a grant workshop at the JLM office on June 19 begining at 11:30 am. This workshop is open to non-profit agencies interested in applying for a 2018-2019 JLM Grant. The workshop provides an overview of the grant selection process and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. A light lunch will be provided.

Proposed grant projects must address a community need and support JLM’s focus on “Strengthening Families.” JLM participates in programs that promote positive development and education of children and youth, support the elderly and the medically under-served, and strengthen the community as a whole.  The JLM project year runs from June 1 to May 31.  Grant proposals must be received from a designated non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The 2018-2019 JLM Grant Application is available on-line at www.jlmontgomery.org (click on Community Impact>Request a Grant/Community Assistance).  Grant applications are due via e-mail no later than 11:59 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Submit a pdf copy of the completed proposal form and any required attachments to jlmcommresearch@gmail.com. We are no long accepting hard-copy forms. We cannot make any exceptions to the August 7 filing deadline.

The Junior League of Montgomery is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  The League is composed of nearly 800 members who annually donate approximately 20,000 hours of volunteer services. The dramatic success of the League's annual fundraisers has made possible a financial commitment to the Montgomery area that has totaled well over a million dollars in the last ten years. Proceeds raised by the Junior League of Montgomery support their work in the community through projects that improve the quality of life for families and children.
