    Event Description:

    This 8-module interactive course is designed to help small business owners understand the importance of business financial strategy planning relating to ongoing financial risk management and impact of COVID-19.  

    During module 3, participants will learn how to setup effective accounting systems.  We will review budgets that were setup by participants in previous session.  Help owners make adjustments if budget is exceeded. We will discuss current accounting systems that owners have in place currently.  We will make sure owners are using their systems to its fullest capacity.  For owners with no accounting systems in place we will introduce them to the various accounting systems and help them choose which system is best for their business.  If owners are not maintaining their budget themselves we will encourage them to hire a bookkeeper/accountant. We will encourage all owners to start preparing for the holiday season rush/downtime.

    Participants are encouraged to complete the entire series for full benefits of the course.  Participants can also sign up for no cost one-on-one business advisement with the instructor for an individual assessment and assistance with developing their individual financial strategy plan.  The course is led by Trevor Small of Simplified Management Products, LLC.

    This is part of  Alabama SBDC at ASU Small Business COVID-19 Recovery and Survival Virtual Program consisting of 3 courses (Tax Planning and Financial Management; Cyber Security Awareness; and Recovery and Disaster Planning) designed to provide essential training and advising to small businesses that have been adversely impacted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Registration for each course and training modules will require individual signups.

    This is an online training course.  Instructions for signing in to the session  will be forwarded to participants in a separate email 30 minutes before the event to join the ZOOM meeting.  Once signed in to ZOOM, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room and admitted individually.
