    ​Annual InnovateAFITC Cyber Challenge to Help Solve COVID-19 Related Obstacles

    TechMGM, Montgomery’s initiative to connect and leverage the city’s unique technology assets, will once again host the annual InnovateAFITC hackathon from August 17-26, 2020. This year, the cyber challenge will be held virtually due to COVID-19. Every year, InnovateAFITC challenges participants to create innovative solutions to significant cyber obstacles and threats. Participants this year will take part in three events, including an application building competition to help solve COVID-19 related obstacles

    Montgomery’s TechMGM hosts CampIT and Announces National BEST Robotics Competition

    TechMGM, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce’s initiative to connect and leverage Montgomery’s unique technology assets, provided hands-on STEM experiences to 200 students at the annual CampIT held on March 1, 2019 at Alabama State University. Sessions on cloud computing, cybersecurity, website design, robotics and more were given by industry leaders for students to learn, participate and engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and Information Technology activities.     Montgomery, Alabama Opens Innovation Center in Heart of the City

    Today MGMWERX, a new innovation hub that brings military, academia, government and industry together to solve key issues facing the Air Force, opened in downtown Montgomery. This unprecedented partnership between regional public and private entities is part of a joint effort between industry leaders to provide businesses the opportunity to grow and propel Montgomery forward as a city of innovation and collaboration.

    Montgomery Area Students to Participate in TechMGM Raspberry JAM during National Computer Science Education Week

    TechMGM, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce’s initiative to leverage the city’s unique technology assets, is celebrating National Computer Science Education Week by hosting a Raspberry JAM. Raspberry JAMs are community events where people get together to share knowledge and solve problems using a Raspberry Pi, a low-cost, high performance device.
