Education

From colleges and universities to technical schools and doctorate programs, Montgomery offers a diverse mix of postsecondary education options. More than 20,000 students are enrolled at the city's seven colleges and universities which include Alabama State University, Auburn Montgomery, Faulkner University, Huntingdon College, South University, Trenholm State Technical College and Troy University Montgomery, along with Jones School of Law. These institutions and many others provide a variety of higher learning opportunities and add to the eclectic atmosphere of the River Region. 

 

Post-Secondary Schools
 

The Montgomery Public Schools offer a full range of curricula complemented by college prep programs, cultural arts, music, languages, technology, career education, and athletics. Ten magnet programs cover all grade levels and various areas of focus including science, performing arts, technology, accelerated academics and international studies.
