Montgomery Zoo Hosts Ballet and the Beasts

MONTGOMERY ZOO (Montgomery, AL):  The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum will be hosting the Ballet and the Beasts on Friday, September 29, 2023. This is a free performance presented by the Montgomery Ballet, in cooperation with Troy University, Alabama State University, and the Montgomery Symphony.

This year’s presentation of Ballet and the Beasts will be a five-part performance with the Montgomery Ballet opening the evening with Carnival of the Animals and Animals of the Classical Ballet followed by two dance performances from Troy University and Alabama State University, and a musical performance by the Montgomery Symphony quartet.

Admission to the event is free. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and relax under the stars with family and friends. Select concessions will be available for purchase. Prior to the performance, the Montgomery Zoo’s Education Department will display a live animal presentation featuring various animal education ambassadors.

We ask that guests donate non-perishable and canned food items to help fund the Montgomery Area Food Bank.

The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is a 42-acre zoological facility located minutes from the heart of historic, downtown Montgomery. The Montgomery Zoo features a variety of exotic animals native to Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America. A trademark addition of the Zoo is the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, housing the one of the Southeast’s largest collections of preserved North American wildlife, artifacts, and fossils. Daily operating hours: 9am - 5pm, with last admission at 4pm.

Admission: Adults $18, Children (3-12 years) $14, Toddlers (2 years and under) FREE, and Seniors 65 years old and older $16.
