MAX Credit Union Appoints Director of Professional Development
MONTGOMERY, AL (September 2, 2025) - MAX Credit Union, a local financial institution serving East
and Central Alabama, is proud to announce the appointment of its new Director of Professional
Development, Laura Chambliss.
Laura joins MAX with 16 years of leadership experience, most recently specializing in continuing
education. She offers strong expertise and a commitment to staff development, enhancing the member
experience. In her new role, Laura will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the
organization's training and employee development initiatives, along with the creation of supervisory and
leadership programs.
Laura stated, “It is an honor to take on this new role and lead Professional Development. I am
committed to ensuring our team members continually enhance their knowledge for both their career
progression and the benefit of our members”.
Beyond her professional achievements, Laura is deeply invested in the community. She currently
serves as a deacon at St. James Church, contributes her insights as a member of the Central AL Inc.
Magazine Editorial Board, and serves as the Communications Chair for the Pike Road High School
PTA. Additionally, she is a member of the Pike Road Business Association and a board member of the
Montgomery Auburn Club.
