Montgomery, AL – TechMGM, an initiative of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, will integrate
student engagement and innovation at the 2025 Department of the Air Force Information Technology &
Cyberpower (DAFITC) Conference through a series of youth-focused education events and an innovation
showcase. From hands-on programs that spark interest, build skills, and connect students to career pathways
in technology, defense, and innovation, to the Montgomery TechLab Defense Accelerator Demo Day
highlighting startups shaping the future of national security, these efforts reflect the Chamber’s commitment to
preparing our region’s workforce and advancing defense-driven growth.

• Montgomery TechLab Defense Accelerator Demo Day
Tuesday, August 26 | 5:00 – 7:00 PM | AUiX (Kress Building, 39 Dexter Avenue)
Culminating eight weeks of mentorship, five defense-focused startups will pitch dual-use solutions
designed for national security impact.
• Innovate DAFITC Hackathon 2025
Wednesday, August 27 | 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM | Renaissance Hotel
High school students from Montgomery and surrounding counties compete in a fast-paced Capture the
Flag (CTF) cybersecurity challenge.
• ROTC Mentorship Session
Wednesday, August 27 | 2:00 – 4:00 PM | Renaissance Hotel
ROTC and JROTC cadets will gain leadership insights in panel and breakout sessions with senior
military officers.
• STEM Fest 2025
Thursday, August 28 | Sessions at 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM | Montgomery Multiplex at Cramton Bowl
More than 1,000 4th and 5th graders from the I-85 region will explore STEM through 50+ hands-on
stations, demos, and interactive exhibits.
