Montgomery, Ala.—Huntingdon College invites high school youth with a connection to Methodism for a special Methodist Youth Day, Saturday, September 16, 2023. The event includes both a worship experience and an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about Huntingdon College.
"Methodist Youth Day will be a combined college visit and time of worship," said Chaplain Rhett Butler. "Students will tour the campus and attend a Huntingdon football game. As part of their time on campus, they will attend a worship service led by Campus Ministries students. Regardless of what branch of Methodism students are coming from, we believe that Huntingdon’s Wesleyan roots are a fertile ground for theological formation, discernment of calling, the deepening of faith, and preparation for a life of ministry, whether as an active lay person, Christian leader in their community, ordained minister, or anything in between. We hope that during their visit students can connect with other Methodists, consider their calling, and worship together."
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by a worship service at 10:00 a.m., information about the college and college tours, and a football game ticket for the day. The cost is $30 and includes a t-shirt, football ticket, and refreshments at the game. Students may reserve a place for the event at
