    ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP CHANGES
    • HMMA President and CEO Chris Susock has been assigned to Chief Manufacturing Officer for Hyundai Motor North America
    • HMMA Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Rader has advanced to President and CEO
     
    MONTGOMERY, AL – May 2, 2025 – Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) today announced two leadership changes.
     
    HMMA President and CEO Chris Susock has been assigned to the position of Chief Manufacturing Officer (CMO), Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA). The newly created position will have oversight of Hyundai’s two U. S. manufacturing operations: HMMA in Montgomery, Alabama and Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Bryan County, Georgia.
     
    HMMA Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Rader has been advanced to the position of President and CEO of the company. In his role, Mark will oversee all manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance at the Alabama assembly plant. Rader will report to Chris Susock.
     
    “While I will miss my daily work leading HMMA, I am completely confident that Mark will lead the team to new successes,” said Susock. “I look forward to supporting him in my new role as CMO at HMNA.”
     
    Rader joined HMMA in 2003 to lead the facilitation, and process development for plant quality. He has held various roles overseeing quality control, and he was appointed Chief Quality Officer in 2021. Most recently in 2024, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
     
    “In his time leading our team through all his many positions at HMMA, Chris set a high bar for leadership,” said Rader. “I’m humbled to be given the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. I look forward to working with our HMMA team to build on his achievements.”
