DAS North America Visits Pike Road High School to Support Future Workforce Development
Montgomery, Alabama - DAS North America recently visited Pike Road High School to learn more about the school’s growing focus on workforce development and advanced manufacturing education.
One area that particularly stood out during the visit was the students’ enthusiasm and eagerness to enter the workforce and begin building careers within industry.
“It was great to see the level of interest and engagement from the students,” said Patrick Kurdziel, Plant Manager of DAS North America. “Manufacturing today needs individuals who are willing to learn, communicate, work together, and take pride in what they do. Building those foundations early is extremely important.”
DAS leadership also learned more about the school’s future plans, including the construction of a new facility incorporating SMART Factory concepts and advanced manufacturing learning environments. DAS North America views this as a positive direction for helping connect education with real-world industry needs and future workforce preparation.
As manufacturing continues evolving with increased automation, technology, and skilled trade demands, partnerships between schools and industry remain critical to helping students better understand future career paths and opportunities available within advanced manufacturing.
“We appreciate the opportunity to visit and see firsthand what the students and staff are building,” Kurdziel added. “We also look forward to welcoming the students and faculty to visit the DAS North America facility soon so they can experience real-world manufacturing operations and see the opportunities available within our industry.”
DAS North America remains committed to supporting local workforce development efforts and continuing discussions that help strengthen future talent pipelines throughout the region.
