Montgomery Whitewater Foundation to Announce $50,000 Grant Supporting Swift Water Rescue Training Program

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  The Montgomery Whitewater Foundation will host a press conference announcing a $50,000 grant from the Mid-South RC&D Council in support of Montgomery Whitewater’s Swift Water Rescue training program.

This funding advances the next phase of program development, expanding the ability to provide in-house training for first responders, military personnel, and rescue professionals in a controlled, engineered environment. The program addresses a growing regional need for swift water rescue preparedness, particularly in response to increased flooding events across the Southeast.

The press conference will include remarks from project partners, followed by a live on-water demonstration showcasing training capabilities and real-world application.
