EmPOWERHer Event at DAS North America

The EmPOWERHer event, coordinated in partnership with Trenholm State Community College, was an inspiring experience that sparked excitement among local high school girls  about the wide range of career opportunities available in manufacturing.

Many of the students initially believed that manufacturing environments were cold, dark, and uninviting. However, they were pleasantly surprised to see how bright, clean, and modern the plant actually is. One student even commented that it felt almost like working in an office, she couldn’t believe it.

This event underscored the importance of correcting misconceptions about manufacturing. There is so much innovation, opportunity, and growth within this industry, and events like EmPOWERHer help open students’ eyes to what’s truly possible.
