Gayle Planetarium Announces New Saturday Show Series for October 4 - November 15
GAYLE PLANETARIUM (Montgomery, AL): The Gayle Planetarium is excited to present a new series of planetarium shows every Saturday from October 4 through November 15, 2025. Visitors are invited to enjoy two engaging presentations, SunStruck and From Earth to the Universe, offered twice daily. These shows are designed to inspire curiosity and provide a deeper understanding of our solar system and the universe beyond.
Saturday Show Schedule:
10:00 am: SunStruck
11:30 am: From Earth to the Universe
1:00 pm: SunStruck
2:30 pm: From Earth to the Universe
Show Descriptions:
From Earth to the Universe: This stunning, 30-minute voyage through space and time conveys, through sparkling sights and sounds, the Universe revealed to us by science. Viewers can revel in the splendor of the worlds in the Solar System and our scorching Sun. The show takes the audience out to the colorful birthplaces and burial grounds of stars, and still further out beyond the Milky Way to the unimaginable immensity of myriad galaxies. Along the way, the audience will learn about the history of astronomy, the invention of the telescope, and today’s giant telescopes that allow us to probe ever deeper into the Universe.
SunStruck: Explore the sun in all its glory in this planetarium show. SunStruck takes us on a journey to discover the wonders of our magnificent sun and investigate how our star has supported life on Earth for millennia. Travel back in time to experience the birth of our Sun and solar system. Discover how the Sun came to support life, how it threatens life as we know it, and how its energy will one day fade away.

The W.A Gayle Planetarium is an educational facility that explores the Earth and space through a unique perspective including lightshows and presentations. We run Saturday showings and offer advanced group reservations during the week.
Located at 1010 Forest Ave, Montgomery, AL 36106 in Oak Park.
Admission: $7.50 per person (ages 3 and up)
