I am pleased to announce and warmly welcome Arla Chandler to Jackson Hospital as our new Vice President of Planning and Marketing.
Arla is a registered nurse (BSN) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Many of you already know Arla from her previous tenure at Jackson Hospital, where she served as a nurse and later worked in business development from 2011 to 2017. She has also been a dedicated member of the Jackson Hospital Foundation Board for the past 15 years.
In addition to her longstanding connection to our organization, Arla has owned and operated a successful marketing, communications, and public relations company and is a leader of a brand development and strategy firm. Her professional background spans nursing, business development, physician practice management, and executive leadership in marketing and communications. She brings deep expertise in brand strategy, digital advertising, website development, social media, and strategic planning, implementation, and analysis.
Beyond Jackson Hospital, Arla previously served five years on the BBVA Advisory Board, further reflecting her commitment to leadership and community engagement.
Arla is married to Dr. Stephen Chandler, a local ENT physician. They have two children: Alec, 24, a prospective dental student whom Arla describes as “employable,” and Jenna, a junior nursing student at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).
