Faulkner University to Host Free “Eyes Up!” Safe Driving and College Awareness Event

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner University’s Harris College of Business and Stumbaugh School of Risk Management and Insurance will host “Eyes Up! Looking Forward to Safe Driving and College!” on September 30, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the university's main campus in Montgomery, Alabama. Media is invited to attend any portion of the event.The event is free and is designed to engage prospective students in conversations about the risks of distracted driving while also introducing them to college and career opportunities in business and insurance. Approximately 200 students are expected to attend.
Participants will rotate through three breakout sessions during the morning program:
• An overview of majors within the College of Business, including the Risk Management and Insurance degree and related career paths in the insurance industry
• A distracted driving awareness session featuring virtual reality goggles, offered in partnership with the University of Alabama Institute for Social Science Research outreach program
• A guided campus tour
Registration will begin in the lobby of the Harris College of Business building. Lunch will be provided following the sessions.
The event aims to promote safe driving awareness among high school students while highlighting academic and professional pathways available through Faulkner’s College of Business.
