Without William Shakespeare, we wouldn’t have literary masterpieces like Romeo and Juliet. But without Henry Condell and John Heminges we would have lost half of Shakespeare’s plays forever!
After the death of their friend and mentor the two actors are determined to compile the First Folio and preserve the words that shaped their lives. They’ll just have to borrow, beg, and band together to get it done.
Amidst the noise and color of Elizabethan London, The Book Of Will finds an unforgettable true story of love, loss, and laughter, and sheds new light on a man you may think you know.

The show runs Wednesday, October 15, 2025 through Sunday, October 19, 2025. Showtimes are at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Wednesday, October 15, 2025 performance is one of our Walk-Up Wednesday performances, which means a donation of any amount grants you entry to see the show.
All proceeds are donated to a charity that is related to the topic of the play. The charity selected for this show is the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Children Education Program.
The Walk-Up Wednesday performance date (October 15) does not have tickets available for purchase online. You will need to make a donation at the door when arriving to the Playhouse.
