Ribbon Cutting - Manna House
-
Manna House is one of the newest and most ambitious projects of the nonprofit MAP (Ministry About People), led by Rev. Ken Austin.
The facility was created to dramatically expand food assistance throughout Montgomery and the River Region. Rather than serving only as a traditional food pantry, it is designed as a large food preparation, storage, and distribution center.Manna House is being developed to include:
- A commercial-grade kitchen capable of preparing large quantities of meals.
- Extensive refrigerated and freezer storage.
- Food distribution for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
- Support for other nonprofit organizations that need prepared meals or food supplies.
- Emergency food preparation during natural disasters and community emergencies
