The Heart of Alabama Food Bank (HAFB) serves 12 counties in the region. Through our 200-plus partner agencies (food pantries), we distributed 33.4 million pounds of food (27.8 million meals) to people in need last year.
Join us as we celebrate the generous donation of a refrigerated box truck by the Darden Foundation and Penske Trucks as we close out Hunger Action Month. This gift will make a lasting impact on our community, helping ensure food can safely reach those who need it most.
Following the ribbon cutting, the Heart of Alabama Food Bank invites you to take a tour of their facility and see firsthand how they are helping feed hope in our community. Stay and enjoy lunch from Funky Forte, and a portion of the proceeds will be returned to HAFB!
