College football officially kicks off in Montgomery, Alabama this Labor Day Weekend with a trio of exciting games including the ESPN Montgomery Kickoff and the inaugural HBCU Classic Weekend, featuring Alabama State University’s Labor Day Classic against Miles College and the Inaugural ESPN Red Tail Classic, pitting Tuskegee University against Fort Valley State.

Montgomery Launches Smart Parking with Park Mobile Partnership

With an increase of 400,000 more visitors last year and an ever-expanding array of dining, hotel and entertainment options, parking is a premium in downtown Montgomery. The City’s new partnership with ParkMobile, the nation’s leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions, will trade the hassle of meters and loose change for the convenience of paying for parking from nearly any mobile device.

Montgomery Wins International Smart City Challenge

The City of Montgomery has earned its place as one of five Smart Cities Readiness Challenge winners thanks to the collaborative efforts of a team comprising the City, County, Montgomery Public Schools, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce and Alabama Power Company. By winning the Smart Cities Readiness Challenge, Montgomery will receive global recognition, new development opportunities and access to a year-long technology program.
