    Council Adopts Ordinance Requiring Masks or Face Coverings in Public in Montgomery

    The Montgomery City Council Tuesday, July 7, adopted an ordinance sponsored by Councilman C.C. Calhoun requiring face coverings, masks or face shields to be worn in public places in Montgomery to slow the spread of COVID-19.

    Face Covering Measure Leads Mayor Reed to Lift COVID-19 Curfew

    After the implementation of Mayor Steven L. Reed’s executive order requiring face coverings be worn in public in Montgomery, the city’s nightly 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, in effect since March 27, has been lifted, effective immediately.
