DESCRIPTION:Montgomery\, AL   In June 2026\, the City of Montgomery was named one of ten winners of the prestigious All-America City Award by the National Civic League\, a national recognition honoring communities that strengthen civic health and build trust through resident engagement\, collaboration\, and community-driven solutions.\n\nTo commemorate this achievement\, the President of the National Civic League will join Montgomery city leaders and residents for a formal presentation of the award and plaque on September 10\, 2026\, in front of City Hall at 103 N. Perry Street. The presentation will take place during a community-wide block party from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. \n\nThe celebration will bring the community together on the steps of City Hall for an evening of live music\, food\, giveaways\, and resources provided by City departments. The event is free and open to the public\, welcoming residents of all ages to share in Montgomery's national recognition and civic pride. \n\nCity officials encourage families\, community stakeholders\, and local organizations to attend and join in celebrating the collaborative spirit that helped Montgomery earn this distinguished honor.
