Training & Programs
The Montgomery Chamber's Incubation Program is designed for startup companies in their first three years of business. It provides a highly mentored environment with low overhead and opportunity for growth. Businesses receive affordable, short-term leases; shared resources including meeting rooms, fax, and package pickup and delivery; and reduced-cost telephone and Internet service. The program has created nearly 700 new jobs, trained more than 450 entrepreneurs and created more than $600 million in capital investments.
Entrepreneurial University uses the NxLeveL® for Entrepreneurs curriculum. It is a 13-session, 36-hour course that gives entrepreneurs the professional knowledge and management skills they need to establish or grow a business. Participants learn to identify feasible opportunities for profitable and sustainable growth, and bring them to fruition by preparing a comprehensive business plan based on proven market research, financial management and project management techniques. Taught by experienced NxLevel-certified instructors, the class offers networking opportunities with local business leaders and one-on-one business counseling. There are two Entrepreneurial University sessions each year, starting in February and August.
The NxLeveL® Entrepreneurial Training Program was founded in 1994 through a grant from The US WEST Foundation to the University of Colorado at Denver. Today, NxLeveL is the world's largest and most effective entrepreneurial training network.
