REGISTRATION STARTS AT 8:00 A.M.
CONFERENCE STARTS AT 9:00 A.M.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS 9:00 A.M.

Playing by the Girls Rules
Presenter: Dr. Gail Evans, Best-Selling Author, Play Like a Man, Win Like a Woman
Women have long struggled to find parity in the workplace. In trying to play by the “boys’ rules” they’ve missed something important: women must play on the same team. They must be each other’s greatest support and understand that every woman’s success is their success. Gail Evans will demonstrate how women can play by their own rules.

The New IQ
Presenter: Milton Creagh, Motivational Speaker, Corporate Trainer, Consultant, Television Personality, Author
Traditionally, we associate the term IQ with a measure of intelligence. “The New IQ,” however, argues that organizations only reach their full potential when the sum total of the intellect, experiences, perspectives and ideas of the whole team are taken into account. This session will show you how to build on the strength of diverse backgrounds and differing perspectives.

OPENING SESSION 10:30 A.M.

Breaking Down Barriers
Presenter: Margaret Nekic, President/CEO, Inspirien

KEYNOTE AND LUNCHEON 11:45 A.M.

Luncheon Keynote: Rosanna Durruthy, Head of Global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, LinkedIn

BREAKOUT SESSIONS 1:30 P.M.

Becoming a Great Place to Work (Invitation Only Session)
Presenter: Margaret Nekic, President/CEO, Inspirien
Profitability is one of many positive outcomes of a great place to work. What makes a great place to work? Trust, fairness, respect, camaraderie and pride are all ideal. At Inspirien, Margaret M. Nekic is building a culture that celebrates ingenuity and creativity. In this session she will share how to develop an environment that inspires employers and employees.

Inclusion Training - A Case for Personal Development
Presenter: Erika Ofodirinwa, Operations Training Specialist, Krispy Kreme
Too often inclusion training is viewed as a requirement to be checked off. We can change this perception by shifting our focus to personal development. In this session you will learn to improve awareness and explore a radical approach that will reform attitudes about inclusion training and show why it is essential to personal development.

Developing Greater Awareness of Other's Challenges
Presenter: Brooke Bowles, Founder and Executive Director, Triumph Services, Inc.; Ronnie Sidney II, Outpatient Therapist, Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board
Moderator: Maze Marshall, Sergeant, US Army, Retired, ADA Consultant
In planning this year’s Diversity Summit, we asked ourselves what more we could do to truly focus on including all. This led to a discussion about individuals living with disabilities that are not always apparent but still challenging. We all benefit when they too have a chance to contribute, and in this session we’ll learn how to be more understanding and inclusive.

No Woman Left Behind: How Can Women Best Support Each Other
Presenter: Helena Duncan, Regional President, Liberty Bank; Lynn Carter, President, Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc. (SCC); Ashley Jernigan, Owner, JDB Hospitality, LLC
Moderator: Dr. Rhea Ingram, Dean, College of Business, Auburn University at Montgomery
Women have often supported other women through leadership, mentorship, coaching and friendship. Hear from female business leaders their career progression stories, strategies (successful and unsuccessful) for obstacles and challenges, and navigation tools for both female professionals and mentors of business women.

Get Your Social Media Foot Out of Your Mouth
Presenters: LaVon Lewis, Co-Founder, President and Chief Creative Officer, PDG Branding and Marketing; Sherrod Shackelford, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, PDG Branding and Marketing
Social media can be a tremendous tool for reaching target markets. It can also be your worst nightmare. If you haven’t done your research, you may alienate customers with an insensitive message. This session will examine case studies from global brands to see why some failed and others were successful at incorporating diversity and inclusion.

NETWORKING RECEPTION 3:30 P.M.
