Montgomery area residential sales up 16% in April

Montgomery area residential sales in April rose 16.2 percent from the same period in 2012. This represents a continuation of market momentum for Montgomery as sales in February and March were 20.5 and 22.3 percent ahead of last year. April sales totaling 316 units were 22 units higher than our forecast of 294 units for the month. Year-to-date, the Center's sales forecast was 1,030 units - the actual figure through April is 1,093 closed Transactions. In 2012, Montgomery led Alabama with residential sales growth of 12.1 percent.
