2013 Strategies and Objectives
Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce 2013 Business Plan - Goal II, Strengthen & Diversify the Regional Economy
• Produce relevant Minority Business Development (MBD) programs that increase minority participation and stimulate econimic development throughuot the River Region. • Build strategic collaborations with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), other local colleges and universities and the faith-based community to maximize small business competitiveness, engagement and business development. • Elevate MBD programs to become state and national models that enhance the reputation of the Chamber and the City of Montgomery. • Strengthen and solidify Chamber relationships in the Asian and Hispanic communities by increasing outreach to their associations. • Increase efforts to connect minority businesses with general contractors and promote minority participation.
